The game had a very big importance for second-rankedVaqueros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Vaqueros defeated 5th ranked Osos in Bayamon 98-91 . Bayamon players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Jaylin Galloway (198-2002) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists. International guard Stephen Thompson Jr (194-1997, college: Oregon St.) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. American Tyler Cook (206-1997, college: Iowa) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American-Italian guard Ryan Arcidiacono (190-1994, college: Villanova) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Manati in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vaqueros have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Manati at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Guaynabo. Manati will play next round against strong Aguada trying to get back on the winning streak. Bayamon will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Santurce on the road.
